CampusPad is a housing marketplace built for college students. Most places on it are short-term — a semester, a summer, however long you need — because that is what student life actually asks for and what ordinary rental sites are worst at. Whether you are looking for somewhere to live near campus, handing your place to someone while you are away, or looking for a roommate, CampusPad is built around that.

Who can use CampusPad?

Anyone can create a free account, browse, and post a listing. But only students who verify a valid .edu email can message listers — so whenever someone contacts you, you know they're a confirmed student, not a random stranger.

How do I post a listing?

Create a free account with any email, click 'List' in the navigation bar, and fill out the listing form. Your listing goes live the moment you publish it — no waiting period or manual approval needed. (Verifying your .edu is only needed to message other students.)

How does the verification process work?

Verification is a separate step you can do any time after signing up: enter your university email, and we send it a 6-digit code. Type the code back in and you're verified — no ID upload, no manual review. It confirms you can receive mail at a .edu address, which is what gates messaging; it isn't an identity or enrollment check, so treat verified students with the same care you'd treat anyone you met online.

What is a sublease, and do I need one?

Subleasing means handing your place to someone else for part of your lease — you are away for a semester or the summer, they take over the rent, and your name stays on the lease. It is the most common reason students list here, and most leases require written permission from your landlord first, so ask before you post. But you do not have to be subleasing to use CampusPad. If you have a room, an apartment, or a whole house available for any length of time, list it.
